Question:  How technically oriented is this training? For a non-technical or rather non-IT savvy participant, I'm nervous of being lost during the training. 

 

Answer: The training will start from basic to advance. It cuts across both non-technical and technical aspect of BI . Depending on the BI career path you are interested in and your willingness /strength. There will be ample facilitation, support and material to ensure you do not get lost.  We have accountants, Financial investment Analysts, Science and Engineering students with no background in IT  in previous classes.

Question:  For someone coming from the Business Analyst space, what are the chances of success in this training

Answer: There is high demand for Business Intelligence Analyst and similar roles which don't necessarily need to be technical. This training will not only give you a top slot in interviews, it is packaged to also ensure you get the job and demonstrate a considerable skill competency on the job. It is a great opportunity for anyone to advance their career to Business Intelligence Analysis

Question:  What is involved in  the job readiness part of this training  and what opportunities are  out there for BI's

 

Answer: As mentioned on the training program.  Supports and interview preparation will be provided for participants.  There are lots of opportunities for BI professional and Data Scientist. BA for BI is an in-demand role. The great thing with BI is that is cut across all industries ensuring that your previous background and career equity is further enhanced.   Question : Am an accountant  looking to broadening my financial reporting skill set , will this training be useful for me.

Answer: 

Yes, we have the data analytics part with we focus on during the 2nd weekend. However the initial fundamental knowledge that will make you more than averagely skilled in provided in the first weekend. Attending both and participating actively will ensure maximum benefit of the training.

Question:  As a Business Analyst, does this mean a total change or deviation in progressing in the BA line of practice  

 

Answer:. BA for BI is an in-demand role. The great thing with BI is that is cut across all industries ensuring that your previous background and career equity is further enhanced.

Question:  Does a participant need to bring a personal laptop or there will be one provided

Answer: Yes the participants need to bring his/her laptops

 

Question:  Do I need to install any apps/tools on my laptop prior to the course.  

Answer:  Yes, you will need to install apps/ tools before the training, upon registration, list of software and guidance on installation will be provided.    We hope to provide free internet for the duration of the training. 

 

Question:   Is your program associated with any formal BI training institute. 

Answer: There are very few  BI training institutes  - mostly online and in the USA and most are very expensive a  4-6 days training as this will cost nothing less than $3500. This training is delivered by industry experts who are passionate about impacting others and giving support. However, the training will be focussed on solid and tested BI methodologies such as the Kimball, Bill Inmon and Agile DataModelling methodologies. 




 Question:  Do you present certificates at the end of the course?

Answer: Yes. There is a certificate at the end of the course detailing the course title and number of hours completed. In some cases, this will also help to fulfil professional development requirements for many professional bodies such as IIBA. 

Question:  Is there a referral discount if i refer participants. 

 

Answer: Yes, If you refer a participant, you will be eligible for the referral. This is $100 off your payment. for subsequent referral, an extra $50 per referred participant is offered. 

 Question:  Do you accept payment instalment payment. 

Answer: Considering current situation and the target audience for this training. Instalment payment can be arranged, please send an email to the trainer. The most common arrangement is two-part instalment; $500.00 for registration in mid-August and $500.00 balance mid-September, before the second weekend session.
